Please be in prayer for us as we minister at a familiar church outside of Vancouver, Canada. We have always enjoyed out time with these sweet people. Pray that God would move in a specific way in the short time we are there. We will ministering there until the January 23.

Youth Revival Weekend, Supply, NC

Unfortunately, I forgot send out an email asking for prayer for this past weekend’s meeting. (I have been out of the routine for a while). Here is the update anyways.

We had a three day Youth Revival Weekend at Bible Baptist Church in Supply, NC, that included a Friday-Saturday Youth Conference and Sunday Services. At first, there was disappointment when several churches called to cancel, but the Lord came through, changing the focus in the process. Dozens came from the bus route and on the first night we had fifty there. God worked in the young people’s heart in a tremendous way. Then, the next night, they invited their friends, and we had around 75 young people there. God was so good! Several other decisions were made that night, including a young man named Hudson trusting Christ as Savior. God used the weekend to revive the work He is doing on the bus route; on Sunday morning there were over 25 on the route, when they had only been averaging 8-10. Praise the Lord! The church was excited about that and we were too.

Sunday services went wonderful with a family of kindred spirits and receptive hearts. We were very thankful to be a part of the Lord’s work there and look forward to hearing of great reports of His continued hand.

Personal Update

It has been a while since we have posted here. During the month of December, there is not much activity in the week-to-week ministry. God did open the door for us to go to visit both families in Arizona and in Michigan, which was a special treat that we were not expecting. It was such a joy to just stop and be with those we love so much.
We also have had the opportunity to stay parked at East Side Baptist Church in Asheboro, NC since the end of November. This has been such a help in getting done many of the odds and ends that you put off till a later time. We have also had several opportunities to be fed from God’s Word here and to join in church activities that we often miss in our short time at churches.
The Lord has provided so faithfully during the month through various and unexpected means. To Him be glory! We had need of nothing.
We are now back in full swing, and have already started meetings up. Continue to lift us up in prayer as we seek the Lord’s blessing upon His work. We thank you for all your prayers in 2011, and covet them more earnestly for 2012. We will continue to keep you posted!

PRAYER: Revival Meetings, Greenwood, SC

Pray for our three day meeting beginning tomorrow at East Side Baptist Church in Greenwood, SC. God has already prepared hearts for His work seen in the news of church wide prayer meetings that have been already held. We are greatly looking forward to His Word going forth in the Spirit’s power.
I forgot to post a prayer request for the youth rally we had tonight, but here are the praises. Tonight, around 50 teens came, including some unsaved. God gave good attention and a joyful spirit throughout the evening. Praise the Lord, one was saved and one got assurance. There were also dozens of other decisions made among the Christians.

Thank you for your prayers for the Revival Meetings at Perry Hill Road Baptist Church. God really worked throughout our four days together. We thanked the Lord when we found out on Wednesday that they had the largest group ever of people who came each night. The Holy Spirit gave an excitement each night that was thrilling to be a part of. Every service had a great response to the Lord in the invitation, and the church grew in the Lord. And, as I already said in the prayer post, we had 4 saved on Sunday. Overall, I truly believe the Lord was glorified. Thank you for interceding.

Please be in prayer for the Revival Meetings at Perry Hill Road Baptist Church. We started yesterday with great services, including the blessing of 4 trusting Christ in the morning service. We will continue though Wednesday night.

UPDATE: Youth Outreach, Middletown, OH

Even though I forgot to send out a post to ask for prayer for this weekend’s Youth Outreach, I still wanted to at least give you an update of how it went. On Friday and Saturday, we got to be a part of a LIVE Clue game at Grace Baptist Church in Middletown, OH, where 200+ teens came each night to play. It was a fun and creative idea that allowed for many church members to participate in. Many teens came from nearby churches and Christian schools, but many were also from public schools. I preached both nights on salvation, and we were excited to hear that 4 trusted Christ as Saviour. On Sunday, I preached in the teen Sunday School, in Junior church, and then in the evening service, where afterwards the church family participated on the game. It really was a unique and memorable experience for us. We were thankful to be a part of this wonderful church and ministry.

I must admit I was pretty discouraged when someone who had signed up on our website for email notifications informed me recently that they had not received any emails of our website posts. I don’t know if this was you, but all summer long, you should have been receiving two emails a week: a Ministry News Update with praises about what God did in that week’s meeting and a Prayer Update with details on our upcoming meetings. I looked into it and found out I had made an error. Please forgive me. Everything should be up and running now. And you should be getting regular updates. If you would like, you could “catch-up” by going to the “older posts” of the Ministry News category at the website.

Update Letter – October 2011

Dear Friends and Family,

As this letter finds you, we pray that your walks with Christ are greater than they were when the last letter came. We are finding more and more that the primary need is a growing, thriving walk with Christ; everything else springs from it.
I Thessalonians 4:1 reminds us “As ye have received…how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.” Let us encourage one another in our walks with Christ, that He might be pleased and bring glory to Himself through our lives.
Ministry Recap: We have had wonderful meetings through the summer and into the fall. Churches are growing, God’s Word is working, and God’s Spirit is moving. I truly believe we are seeing answers to prayer for Revival among God’s
children. Keep Praying! Since our last Update Letter, God was faithful to allow us to be a part of twelve different ministries, and to allow us to see at least 91 people trust Christ as Savior. Many others were called to the ministry and many countless decisions made in the areas of consecration and service. Only Heaven will reveal what His Word accomplished in people’s lives. We simply pray for fruit to remain. Never forget, to those who prayed for and gave to us, that you had a great part in this. Thank you for being used by Him.
Huge Blessings: We have made it a practice in our ministry not to share our financial needs with people, trusting that the Lord knows what we need of Him before we ask. But after the need has been met we love to share the details of what the Lord has done. Sara’s surgery back in May had to be paid out of pocket, and even though we did not have the money, the Lord gave peace that He would provide. And He sure did! At the end of this month, we will have paid off over $14,000.00 in medical bills. God did that in less than six months! We watched in amazement as offerings increased and anonymous gifts were sent. Many of you helped and many churches gave over and above, not knowing our need, but following the prompting of the Lord. We stand amazed at the faithful provision of the Lord and praise Him. We are living testimonies to the truth: “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Prayer Requests: Meetings are somewhat slowing down as we approach the Holidays. This will be helpful as we catch up on many projects, one of which is recording another music CD. Please pray for grace and direction in this. We desire for Christ to be pleased with it. Please also continue to pray for health needs. God has directed us faithfully and we are looking for His next steps. Lastly, pray with us for wisdom. We need it daily. We want to discern the perfect will of God in every aspect of our lives and ministry. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God!”

Thank you so, so much for your love for the Lord and for us. We miss you all, and love you very much.
