Continue reading »]]> I was at a meeting a month ago where, in the invitation, the preacher challenged us to think of one particular person the Lord would have us to witness to. I remembered a man I had met at a propane store 4 months earlier named Rod. So about 2 weeks ago I went to that propane store, praying for an open door. God answered my prayer. For over 45 minutes and without interruptions, we talked about the Lord and “religion” (Rod would be around 60 yrs old and said he had heard a lot of religion in his lifetime). Toward the end, as I was sharing that salvation was a free gift, Rod looked away and said, “You’re gonna make me cry.” I asked why. He said, eyes welling up, “Cause it’s free…this changes everything!” We continued talking for about five minutes when someone entered. I gave him a very thorough tract and said we would talk later.

I returned a week later and he willingly engaged in another conversation. I asked him if he had thought further on our last talk. He said he had very much so and that he had read the tract too. I could see an interesting difference in him so I asked if trusted Christ in the time I was gone, and he told me that he did right after reading the tract!

Since then, I’ve met with Rod at the store two more times and have given him “First Steps for New Christians” from strivingtogether.com. He is very excited to talk each time I come in. Pray that he will grow in the Lord and that I can get him connected with a good church that will take him in, love him, and disciple him.

Continue reading »]]> Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
First of all, I want to give a great apology for such a long time between prayer letters. Quite frankly, because I have been posting news on our website, I forgot to write an update letter. Please forgive me. I know many of you pray for us regularly, and it is never my intention to leave so much time between updates.
Personal Update: We are doing absolutely wonderful in the grace of the Lord. He has done so much in our lives that we can hardly thank Him enough. Not only has the Lord faithfully met the material needs of our life, but much more importantly, He has provided the spiritual needs of our life. We both were so burdened to become more effective wit-nesses for Him. He has definitely strengthened our faith in Him over the past three months, especially through the Glorious Gospel Conference we attended in February. Both of our hearts were so stirred and convinced that the gospel IS the power of God unto salvation and the fields ARE white unto harvest. People will be saved if we simply and consistently witness for Him. I can honestly say that the past two months have been filled with more witnessing opportunities than I have ever had (or taken) and we have seen several come to Christ!
Ministry Update: I can of a surety say that the last three months of ministry have been some of the sweetest we have ever had. God has met with us in amazing ways. I think of a three-church youth retreat where one Youth Pastor said afterward, “My teens have never responded to the Lord like that.” At another church, a man said, “My whole perspective of the Christian life changed.” At another church, a lady said in response to a message on Christ in us, “I’ve been trying so hard, when all along it was Him that would do it.” Sara and I are truly blessed to be a part of what God IS doing in bringing real revival to individuals and churches. I think the greatest joy is seeing the hearts of pastors encouraged and their faith re-kindled in believing God can.
Music Update: We have been working on our second music CD for the past few months and in two weeks it will be available. It will have twelve songs total with three that we wrote, and we pray that it is a blessing to you. If you are interested, you can purchase it through our website in two weeks.
Prayer Update: We have no greater desire that to be more yielded to the Lord and used to touch people’s lives with the Gospel and Grace of Christ. Pray for open doors of ministry. Pray for receptive hearts at meetings. Pray for our walks and faith. God is ready and willing to move, “Draw nigh to God, and He WILL draw nigh to you.”

Continue reading »]]> Thank you so much for praying for the meetings at Grace Baptist Church. I can hardly describe how He answered your prayers for the increase of faith. I truly am amazed at how He has been meeting with us in meetings. I truly believe we are seeing Revival stirring in church after church. Each night was an increase in attendance from the night before. So our final night was the high attendance. This was a joy because the people believed God would use them to bring others to the meetings, and each night we had new faces.
On the last night, a lady named Amanda was saved. What was neat was that when she was asked why she wanted to talk to someone she said, “What that guy was talking about up there – I need that!” Moments later she accepted Christ.
I truly believe God answered the prayer for faith to be strengthened, and I know we will see direct fruits from the work He did in the lives of this church.

Continue reading »]]> I forgot to post about prayer for this week’s meetings. Yesterday we started meeting that will run through this Thursday at Grace Baptist Church in Eaton Rapids, MI. We have been here before and have been looking forward to this year’s return. God is already stirring hearts. Please pray with me in my burden for this church that God would build up their faith.

He was so good to give His wisdom throughout the whole production (we did it ourselves). We pray sincerely that it will be a help and blessing in your life.

Some of Sara’s aunts and uncles have indicated we could come by in the next week or so, and a 24 year old man named Josh who came to the Revival meetings one night said he had some questions for me and that we could meet soon. Pray for these lost souls.

Continue reading »]]> We can wonderfully say that the meetings at First Baptist Church in Ovid, MI with Pastor Dickenson were some of the best we have ever been a part of. The Lord graciously met with us each night and stirred hearts to Revival. As the week progressed, it was clear that the Lord was emphasizing faith in each message. And I believe the the people truly caught the truth that “Without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for He that cometh MUST believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” God rewarded us with a sweet spirit, receptive hearts, confessed sin, encouraged walks, and renewed vision. Also, throughout the week, three adults trusted Christ as Saviour. May God continue His blessings upon this church family.
